Description
What Is Tizicer?
Tizicer is used to treat adults with advanced stages of a form of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Tizicer is only given to patients whose disease is due to a defect in a gene called ALK (anaplastic lymphoma kinase).
How Tizicer Works?
In patients with ALK defects, an abnormal protein is produced that stimulates the growth of the cancer cells. Tizicer blocks the action of this abnormal protein and thus slows down the growth and spread of NSCLC.
How To Take Tizicer?
The recommended dose is 450 mg (3 capsules) once a day taken with food at the same time each day. The doctor may decide to reduce the dose or stop treatment temporarily if side effects occur. In certain cases, treatment should be permanently stopped.
